New stands and old Type I ships?

This place is pretty quiet, but I don’t know where else to ask this. I just received my Kickstarter stuff yesterday and it’s almost all great. One little issue though is that I got a set of the new stands for my original box set ships. The pegs for the Type I ships are a lot smaller then the holes on the ship itself though. So, if you go to grab a ship to move it, the stand just disconnects. The stands for the larger ships are fine though. Anybody have any good ideas on how to tighten the hole up a bit on the ship? I know it would be easier to wrap something around the peg to make it bigger, but then the stand wouldn’t work for the new ships anymore…

I’m hoping some kit-bashers might have a trick up their sleeve… Thanks!

I’m in the same boat; I think I’m just going to design and 3d print an adapter that I can stick in my old ships that will accept the new peg.

I don’t know how far off the old holes are to the new pegs, but you could shim the difference with a rolled up or folded piece of paper or a little card stock. Once you get the opening right, you could then glue it in place with some CA glue or contact cement. Let it dry before shoving the peg back into the hole of the ship.

The size difference for pegs/holes isn’t too bad for the Cruiser/Battleship class, but for the Destroyers, the difference is pretty large, instead of a shim, a wad of greenstuff (or sticky tack) would be better.

@Sapper - if you do wind up doing that, please post it links to it on the Lev forums at BGG or Discord, as many people are looking for a solution like that

I am really hoping that CGL posts an STL file for us.
