HML CourserSky Captain Miller was lying on the floor, being tended by a corpsman. Michaels looked around at his ruined vessel, "Vickers are not going to be happy," he thought, "but too many people have died here already."
"Helmsman," he called, "steer bearing 300, give us full speed as soon as possible, we're going home."
"Yes, sir," a rating replied.
"Rating?" Michaels thought, "What happened to the Helmsman?" This defeat was going to be hard to live down, but there was no way, he was going to lose the entire vessel.
Chasse Faucon"Captain, he's trying to escape," reported Brosse.
"Curse them! If we still had the 100mm turret we could batter them for a fair while in a stern chase, but he's just a bit faster then us and the 47mm guns are already at the edge of their range."
"We'll need to return to port for repairs and more electoloid, sir."
"Hmmph, well, we still have the plunder, and I say we won this one.
"Oh, absolutely, sir."
Game effectspianobar, noting that 2 dice just aren't enough to get through Light Cruiser armour, has called it here, and is leaving the field to protect his vessel. Well done Lord Cameron!
GM notesWell, thank you both, that was interesting and fun.
Have either of you (or any spectators) got any comments on either the way the game was run, the way the game was played, or the fiction?
Also, anyone interested in trying it again? This time with bigger fleets?
I'm willing to run again, in a week.
