Hello!
Iīve just read your new article on your homepage with your current
concepts for the first factions.
My first interest is the german fleet, because iīm from germany...

On "wikipedia.de", the german page of wikipedia, there is an article
about the "Battle of Jutland/Schlacht am Skagerrak".
The article contains some informations about the differences between
british and german ships/doctrines, maybe it could help you.
Iīll try to translate some things:
-British ships had guns with larger calibers and higher ranges.
-German ship guns had higher muzzle velocity, so the stability of the ballistic trajectory
and the kinetic energy at impact were higher.
-The german ships made more hits on the british ships and their shells broke more
often through the armor. While the british ships made 100 hits from 4598 shots with
heavy artillery (23,4cm and more), the german ships made 120 hits from 3597 shots,
or in other words: +20% hits, -21,77% shots.
-German ships had more armor, and the safety conditions on board were better.
The british ships tried to keep up a high rate of fire, so they didnīt close the
safety doors from the turrets to the ammo magazines, so tha men could bring
the shells very fast to the guns. One hit in the turret, and the explosion went
through direct into the powder chamber...
Maybe there are some ideas to help you...
