2011 is the Century of the RAN, in the ten years between Federation and the Colony Fleets became State Fleets that where amalgamated with some new Hulls and "Gifts from the Crown" (RN Surplus that would have cost more to Scrap).

What I'm wondering is did Pre-Federation did the Australian Colonies  have Sky Fleets and if so what happened to them? I ask because what little mention of Lev's in OZ indicates that the Germans had to send one of their Cans down to ensure independence when we broke from the Empire. Where do the Aussie Catamarans come from are they marvels of engineering? or did some bush mechanic with half a skin full lash together a couple of Light Frigates with some fencing wire and pot rivet on some left over deck plating to make gangways between the two?
