Van Gogh, I should point out that Battletech represents individual systems and does not take hours to complete in combat between single mechs.

I'll argue this to the extent that I've seen a 1-on-1 battle take 4 hours to resolve.  Depends on the 'Mechs, pilots, and players.  :)

*shrug* 1v1 Battletech games resolved themselves quickly enough when I played. I feel the system is just enough to track individual machines with enough detail to illustrate things well enough for me to imagine the rest. With Leviathans, I'm not liking the idea of all those guns abstracted into one system, which essentially tracks a train of batteries across the ship to one on/off switch. I'd expect something a little more definitive when it came to ship/unit simulators... but as I'm not a core designer for the game I suppose that's neither here nor there.

Sorry for being away, but my head drifted elsewhere. Is there anything anybody would particularly like to see me draw? I think I can do a free request or two so long as it isn't incredibly extravagant.
