I have seen there stuff. Quite nice, but a little too sci-fi/horror for straight steam punk for me.

And spending nearly 23 euros for a single miniature that is unpainted is not my brew of beer.

Would rather spend 15-20 bucks at Toys R US for a 1/44 die-cast plane to play CY6

Wow! They're gorgeous. Especially Major Dreadful; I just love the look of him & Winston. But ye merciful Ghu, those prices for unpainted 35mm? I used to do a lot of 35mm Tamiya in my teens, so I agree the quality is absolutely gorgeous; but ... for those prices I'd want painted.

They are very nice, but I'd never be able to do them justice, and the prices are just...ugh.

1/35 is a nice small skirmish scale. Have tons of Americans and Germans I bought at Toys R Us for Combat. Its only good for soldiers, adding tanks... starts to become a problem if you are limited with your gaming space.

The only problem with them, they are too clean soldiers should be dirty and warn out. Maybe they are new recruits?

not sure about that, these as 1/35 are about 110mm high, to big for wargaming as such, that link of yours says they are 46mm?

What are you talking about? 1/35 is one of the popular prepainted gaming scales, there is a reason for such a large market, they appeal to collectors, hobbiest and war gamers.

Every scale site or web page will say that
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miniature_wargaming

Measuring the height of a mini does not give you the scale, it is a ratio, can’t remember exactly how it works

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miniature_figure_(gaming)#Scales

it has to do with the ratio of the scale model and the ration to feet. Or something to that effect.

Scales, like 1:144 means 1 inch on the model = 144 inches full scale.

So 1:35 means 1 mm model scale = 35 mm full scale

My mistake - I typed 35mm when I meant 1:35. Which is still pretty small to paint for someone with sausage-shaped fingers like mine ;)

Yeah, $35 for a 2" mini is a bit out of my budget....

Some guy from Down Under has cooked up a Steampunk flying warships game, doubtless I will need to buy those minis soon...  ;)

I know, the nerve! Doubtless we'll all have to buy multiple sets so that we can mod our own too...what a jerk. ;)
