Okay, I can't recall who is in the podcast - is that the one with Brent? - but there's been a misunderstanding. The Leviathans minis will be being made from high-quality plastic with high detail capacity. IIRC - and I am prepared to stand corrected - it's the same company and same plastic as the high-quality Thor and Loki plastic minis that CGL have made & sold. Anyone who's got them (including me) can tell you the plastic & quality is really good.
(Besides, at 5" long metal minis would weigh a ton, be lethal weapons in their own right, and would not be allowed past airport security
There may have been some confusion with the attempt to see if it would be practical to make plastic minis that 'hovered' due to rare-earth magnets cunningly inserted in the minis & stands, which I believe has been cancelled due to small drawbacks like losing data from nearby laptops/PCs, the tendency for gamers' metal glasses frames to fly through the air etc.etc.
