That's where the problem lies. I plan to buy the physical products, so I don't really have an incentive to purchase the digital ones. What I would like, however, is to look at the digital product and see what I'll be buying. I don't like the idea of paying for what I consider to be a preview, though. That's why I was looking for the free torrents. Unfortunately, they are very obscure, and I've only found but one file lying in the entire annals of this website (for the Lieutenant's Manual, I believe). With Eclipse Phase, however, they keep an active account on Demonoid, and Boyle has even posted a copy of the book on his homepage (I believe the link is in his resume). They've made it very accessible, and have made it very well known that you can simply get the book off the net, and rather easily.
If you are expecting the fanbase to maintain distribution, then you've got to be more vocal about that instead. Tell your players to post their files on the net and get the word out. Leviathans has been a very quiet game so far, and even I wouldn't know anything about it if I wasn't a Battletech addict. That's really contradictory to the point behind the Creative Commons license, which is meant to empower your ability to advertise... there is no more potent a marketing gimmick than free samples.
