CREATIVE COMMONS (BY-NC-SA)

Catalyst Game Labs wants people to join us in the skies of an alternate 1910. Not simply as observers, but active participants. We want you to leap on board ships as crewmen, helping to expand the breadth and scope of the Leviathans’ world. We want our players to share the game with their friends, create their own websites for their campaigns, write their own fiction, post their house rules, publish ebooks of their own Leviathans-based creations, create crossover systems for running Leviathans using other published (or home-grown) rules sets, or even (in perfect Steampunk style) create a mash-up of Leviathans and your favorite ‘other’ world.

To this end, we’re publishing Leviathans under a Creative Commons license. Details on how this license works are noted below.

LEVIATHANS WEBSITE
The original text and artwork of this website are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License.

View this license.

LEVIATHANS PRODUCTS
Leviathans products (including printed rulebooks/sourcebooks and PDFs) by Catalyst Game Labs are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License. View this license.

What this means is that you are free to copy, share, and remix the text and artwork within these books and PDFs under the following conditions:

1) You do so only for noncommercial purposes;
2) You attribute Catalyst Game Labs (see below);
3) You license any derivatives under the same license.

ATTRIBUTION
When reusing/remixing Creative Commons-licensed Leviathans material, credit must be given to Catalyst Game Labs. Please also provide a link to http://www.monstersinthesky.com

Artwork Credit
We’d like to see our artists get credit if their artwork is re-used (please include a link to the artist’s website).

Doug Chaffee is responsible for all color and black & white illustrations.

J. Lonee is responsible for all orthographics (schematics).

WHAT IF CATALYST LIKES MY WORK?
Catalyst Game Labs will keep an eye on the work done by the Leviathans community. If Catalyst sees something it likes (fiction, art, rules and so on), Catalyst will contact that individual with the possibility of putting the person under contract (if they so wish) so Catalyst can release the material in question as part of the rest of the Leviathans line Catalyst will publish.

First Sea Lord Randall Bills:
Apologies for deleting the answers to this thread, as well as the "Snakes on a Leviathan" thread. I'm re-structuring, based upon numerous requests in the "What do YOU Want" thread, and it was un-avoidable. Hopefully this expanded section off-sets the inconvenience of the lost threads.

Istal Devalis:
Might seem to be a bit obvious, but just in case...

WHAT IF CATALYST LIKES MY WORK?
How does that apply to stuff on this forum? Is the entire forum considered under the license or just the sections under the Creative Commons sections.  If an idea comes up on a different part of the board that would fit into the universe well, I'd hate to see it not considered for future inclusion because it was in the wrong area.

Administration:
If the work is derived from our CC-licensed work, it needs to be CC-licensed as well.

To further clarify, regardless of where an idea is on the site, if we like it and we want to merge it into our universe, we'll contact you and let you know so that you can decide if you want to go down that path or not.

Thanks.
