Okay, the order of dice is as follows: Green (d4), Blue (d6), Yellow (d8), Red (d10), Black (d12).

Anyone got any clever ways of remembering the order?

Seriously, it's probably easiest to go get single polyhedrals that are the correct colors.  It cost me a whole $5, and made the game go much quicker.

My FLGS doesn't carry yellow d8s   not that it's a big deal, but it would be nice if they did!

Just remember 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.  Count by twos.  No Mnemonic needed really.

Yup. But, I can't wait to see what the odd numbers are going to be on the official levs colored d12s. Do they go up or down on certain numbers, I wonder?

I believe the OP is referring to remembering which number goes with which color.

I remember them by the 'harshness' of the colors when you're shot at by those colors, or how the enemy must feel.

Green is good.
Blue is a little less good than green
Yellow is medium
Red is bad.
Black is harsh.

Hell, think of that horrible War on Terror chart thing. It goes Green-Blue-Yellow-Orange-Red. Basically, the farther from Green you get, the bigger the dice is.

If you cannot find the correct color dice just color in the numbers with the correct color crayon.......old school, but that is how all game dice were done years ago.

...or just keep a cut out of the nice little chart close at hand.

My game shop sells solid color dice for 40 cents, and 70 or 75 cents for the fancy dice.

I'm going to go fancy because that's how I roll.

It's something like this.

D4   = 1,1,1,2,2,2,3,3,3,4,4,4
D6   = 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6
D8   = 1,2,2,3,3,4,5,6,6,7,7,8
D10 = 1,2,3,4,5,5,6,7,7,8,9,10
D12 = 1-12

the D8 and D10 have unique weighting.  They may be shifted towards higher rolls than I have listed.

Actually, I believe Randall said the D8 (Dyellow) and D10(DRed) would be

DYellow:  1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,blank,blank,blank,blank
DRed:      1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,blank,blank
