Cadet Cruise #2
« on: March 21, 2010, 12:08:47 PM »
In reading the latest peice of fiction on the blog, some interesting things can be discerned. Well, one interesting thing anyway. It appears that the United States boasts more electical output than the French, and possibly other nations as well. I wonder if this will mean that the U.S. levs will have either faster ships or be able to have more MP per engine slot. Of course, having all your movement points in fewer engine slots would be dangerous, though it would free up space for more armor/guns.

I really know nothing about altitude rules.  ;D

Or maybe...they have a secret weapon with electrical firing of their guns?

Or maybe...they have a secret weapon with electrical firing of their guns?
Like a Leviathans version of the dynamite gun or an experimental Tesla Coil weapon or perhaps a primitive rail gun?

Another possibility could be that the electoid system was originally designed for a much larger vessel. If not that, then perhaps the engineers are implotin the Tim Allen Rule ... More Power!

What should be a sure bet is that with all those efficient damage-control parties, reserve electrical power and stuff, US leviathan are bound to be tough nuts to crack...so in game terms higher breach numbers and an insanely high structural integrity ?

[tin foil hat mode] I'm betting for the supercharging of electrical air torpedoes, with the barred compartiments being the torpedo rooms themselves [\tin foil hat mode]

I'm going for speed boost, myself along with just extra reserve power.  It's a battle cruiser. It'll need it to catch up and gun down scout cruisers.

Just wish they mentioned guns...

The shrine of each patriot's devotion,
A world offers homage to thee"

I'm just happy that at least one fleet uses the official rank of Sky Captain. That makes me happy. ;D

..on the other hand, Sky Captain and the World of Yesterday that Never Happened is a bit of a mouthful.
...because that battleship's...well...FLYING.

Maybe they gave the American ships some kind of electromagnetic shield, Nah. I'm hoping they get some sort of tesla gun as a sort of a main gun.

If we get lightning cannons in this universe, I will be beyond happy. My giggles will echo through all the dark jungles of the world, creeping the hell out of EVERYONE!
