Yeah, but it is still not New
thus York should be old york
and new york should be york
or build a city on top of new york and call it New New York

At the expense of derailing this thread with actual relevance

, York in England is one of my favourite cities. The old city wall is mainly intact, it's a wonderland of Age of Steam buildings, the railway station almost deserves it's own movie to star in ...
And then there's the church. Now us Colonials (Aus/Can/US, not Caprica etc) just don't get the whole Old thing. 200 years? Deep ... except in Europe there are guys walking around wearing watches older than that. Heck, 2000 years ain't uncommon.
Especially the church.
It's currently an Anglican church. It's made from the stones of a Catholic church knocked down during the English Civil War.
The Catholic church was built from the stones of a Mithraic temple, built by the Romans around 100AD.
The Mithraic temple was built from the stones of a Druidic temple, built around (IIRC) 700BC.
And the Druids built their temple by knocking down dolmens put up sometime before that.
All on the same place..
That's
old York.
