Poll- best/worst Cruiser?

I am planning to run a 4 player Free-for-all scenario at an upcoming meet.

It will be perhaps in the Black Sea, with British, French, Russian & Ottoman Empire.
(Russia & Ottoman Empire having purchased French & British ships)

so in a case with 4 cruisers, each coming from a different side of the map, and trying to destroy the other three, which would be the best ship? The worst?

Please only vote for 1 "best" and 1 "worst" (or use other and tell us why)

Also, please post in the thread if the addition of turrets would change your vote

Sorry, I should have said current rules, or perhaps just with turrets.

I hope people will post the reasons for what they picked....

I went with Pontbriend for best, as I like her speed. I love cutting around an opponents stern and opening up with my broadside. After some thought, I chose Hertfordshire for worst. If you were using current rules without turrets I would have picked Courser for worst. Mind you, I like Hertfordshire's ruggedness, but her speed kills her unless all the British levs stay together.

These are Light Cruisers by the way, and playing them with smaller games doesn't quite highlight their strengths. The Courser is a very strong CL, and able to cover larger ships very effectively.

I notice that in the book the Herts is supposed to have (as listed in the stats) 3 x 6", 2 x 4.7" and 4 x  3", rather than the 2, 2 and 2 as pictured.

If the Herts had those 9 guns listed instead of just 6, it would be quite a decent ship (even though slow)

Pretty likely whatever the secondary Sky-Powers will be fielding.

Probably, at least for the time being, as they're likely to be fielding obsolescent hand-me-downs from the major powers.
