New stuff from the Blog
« on: March 11, 2010, 09:32:07 AM »
Okay, so Randall's been at it again.  What have we learned?

1  A new commander's rule: a ship that doesn't do anything else can always turn 1 or 2 hexsides.  This resolves the issue people were having about ships getting trapped against the border.

2  Steering Gear: an item on a ship that lets it move better.  This was an item seen on a couple of ship cards in the background but not understood, also explains how you can have a Leviathan with Hexes to Enter 4 and 3MP.

3  There's a French Light Cruiser called Lave which has 2 Torpedo & 2 Steering Gear on each side.  If you add the compulsory Trim Tank, it only has 1 side slot left.

4  We're going to see more ship cards before we see the Commander's rules.

All sounds interesting to me.  Anything I missed?

No, I think you got it all. The Lave sounds particularly interesting. I'm also glad to hear about the rule that allows you to spend all of your MP to just change facing, and will probably be using it in my games.

Actually.  What other stuff do we know that are in other rules that we don't actually know the mechanics of yet?

1)  Crew doing repairs.
2)  Turrets.
3)  Elevation.
4)  Collisions/ramming.
5)  Torpedoes
6)  That thing where guns combine volleys.
7)  Boarding?
