SCENARIO: Loyal Opposition against the Shameful Endeavour
« on: April 10, 2010, 09:24:56 AM »
Trying my hand at Scenario writing, keeping the first one simple and only using the stuff in the Lieutenant’s Manual it's just a variant on the scenario in the quick-start with some Fluff. If anyone can give some names for the French ships it would be much appreciated.

SCENARIO: Loyal Opposition against the Shameful Endeavour

Surgeons Log Dr. Hayman Cross, CMT Pelican
Do those Froggy Bustards know no shame, along with the goods they where trying to get passed Tariff the Merchantmen where packed to the Gunwales with Contraband Goods and Labour. The Knackers where malnourished and a good number where starting to comedown with Diseases of the Tropics and Ill Confinement, I have quarantined the sick and those who sheared compartments with them for the good of all.
I can not properly convey my disgust at the French Officers and the Masters of the Merchantmen, transporting the Illegal Indentured Labour in such conditions it is beyond words worthy of my education and standing, the sad thing is those Knackers that do return to their homes after their time in servitude will do so with to us a poultry sum but on their Islands would represent the Wealth of Kings, by returning their freedom we are robbing them of a more commutable life than they would have otherwise known. The only thing the French Officers have to their credit is having the Honour to protect their Nations reputation by asserting that they where freebooting some Illicit Profit wile transferring their Vessels from French Polynesia to Indo-China, a claim the Merchant Masters are supporting.
Our Infirmary and Mess stocks will likely be empty by the time the Prise Crews from Number One and Third Squadrons arrive. I will be glad to be rid of the French and hope the ARN delivers on to them the Justus they deserve when we hand them over to Federal Authorities.

SITUATION
Whitsunday Islands, Queensland Coast
7 December 1909

Wile on a shakedown cruse 2 Squadron, Commonwealth Militia Fleet under the Command of Sky-Captain Malcolm McInnes encountered a pair of French Destroyers and a small flotilla of Aerial Merchantmen Illegally over Australian Waters, Violence soon erupted and a shameful secret was reviled in the aftermath.

GAME SETUP
Lay out both sides of the map from the Lieutenant’s Manual
with their long sides together.

Attacker
The Attacker is a pair of Grenouille-Class Destroyers lead by Lieutenant aérien Claude Defoe

Deployment
The Attacker enters the playing area during the movement portion of Turn 1, through the Seaward Deployment Zone.

Defender
The Defender is a pair of D-Class Destroyers (the CML Kookaburra and the CML Magpie) under the Command of Sky-Captain Malcolm McInnes.

Deployment
The Defender enters the playing area during the movement portion of Turn 1, through the Landward Deployment Zone.

OBJECTIVES
The Attacker and Defender have the same objectives, Destroy or drive off the enemy Combatants, for 2 Squadron this is to protect the Sovereignty of their Home Nation, for the French it is to push through and deliver their charges to their Illicit Rendezvous.

OPTIONAL RULES
No optional rules are in effect for this scenario, which is played with the full Lieutenant’s Manual rules.

I don't have the newest ships however, so far I have two types of D-class and 2 types of Grenouille class. So which states do you use? Or do you use all four? What is the standard D-class and  Grenouille  class?

For simplicities sake everything is as in the Lieutenant’s Manual, that way everyone can play.

Cool that is doable. I would like at some point to see what the "basic" class is for each ship. I am however not sure if ships of that time were all alike, even sisterships may have all had slight changes.

If I can find someone to play I'll give this one a shot
