Older Leviathans
« on: March 02, 2010, 03:21:28 PM »
I was wondering if there were plans to introduce older leviathans that might be a bit past their prime by 1910 and may have been relegated to ground support only roles, coastal defense, or used as training ships. I don't imagine they'd be much use in standard engagements, but I'd love to eventually see them for special scenarios and campaigns.

There are most definitely plans to do this! There have been a number of 'generations' of Leviathans. The original 1890 versions exposed airscrews and less efficient steam engines and elecrical systems. These have all improved over time - airscrews to single ducted fans to compound ducted fans, vertical expansion to double, triple or quadruple boilers, and so on.

And yes, guidelines for these will be released at some point.

That's excellent, thanks! I'm glad to hear some of the older ships will make it in.
