I imagine that brightly painted undersides would be a benefit to Levs that have to work with ground or naval forces, to better enable identification and prevent friendly fire. If your Levs have red bellies, and the enemy ones are black, your naval units have less of an excuse when they start shooting at you.

*looking forward to later Japanese Levs painted Yamato-style* 8)

But my air fleet does not have the incompetence of the Italian navy.  :P ;D

I agree. It looks kinda silly having the waterline and underwater paint on a vessel that will never be in water.
Well, in terms of aethestics I think keeping the underwater and water line paints works out a bit better.  It helps break up what would otherwise be a fairly monochrome hull and gives a wider array of color schemes to use.

So..who wants to be the first to try Dazzle paint? :D

Sadly, my old pre-release Dazzle schemes are lost forever, but I'll see what I can do.

The thought has occurred to me.  Once air forces started up roundels quickly became a way to easily identify friendly aircraft.  Do you think it would be possible that, due to the generally larger size of Leviathans, that the naval ensign is painted on the top and/or bottom of the vessels somewhere?  The belly?  The 'wings' that stick out to the side both bow and quarter?

Anything to make it more interesting than a plain colourscheme :)
