I post this with all due reverence for the current game.

Setup: Take your favorite ship and make a paper cut-out model of it. Then, give it a paper stand, not to be any bigger or wider than the model. Light wood or plastic substitutes may be used for the stan prongs, like straws or toothpicks. However, they cannot make the stand weigh more than the ship model.
This game should be played on a solid, smooth surface.
Once a ship is set, nobody can touch it, or it is immediately destroyed.
Movement:Starting with the player who lost innitiative and ending with the player that won, each player has five seconds to move their ship by blowing on it. It's facing and position on the playing surface is set at the end of five seconds and cannot be altered.
See below if a ship is accidentally blown over or off the playing area.
Combat:Arcs and line of sight are drawn from a ship's base by best guess.
Remember! Never touch a ship that is not destroyed. Once it is determined what guns have arc on what targets, spitballs are fired in the following manner:
- DGreen/DBlue guns: use a straw - spitball must fit inside.
- DBlue/DYellow guns: use a rubberband slingshot - spitball must be no bigger than 1/4 inch diameter
- DYellow/DRed guns: use a rubberband slingshot - spitball must be no bigger than 1/2 inch diameter
- DRed/DBlack guns: use a rubberband slingshot - spitball must not exceed 1 inch diameter
Fire from close by or over your ship (Without touching it!) at a declared target for the appropriate gun.
Torpedoes: Are full wadded sheets of 8 x 11 inch writing paper. Toss from the edge of the playing area closest to the torp's launching point.
Destroying a Ship: Any ship that is knocked over
(whether by weapons fire or navigation error) or touched is destroyed. If it leaves the playing area, it is destroyed. The person who destroyed the ship is the only one who can remove it from the table, and only after all fire has been resolved. If that player so chooses, he or she can freely interpret the ship's demise and final state after destruction.
Sportsmanship:Everything is done by group consensus. However, here are some guidlines.
- If an opponent 'accidentally' touches a ship not belonging to him or her, that ship's controller has the right to touch that opponent's ship in retribution.
- If everyone agrees that a ship truly was touched accidentally, it may be left in place, or righted if knocked over.
Enjoy.
